We closed out the 2017-18 school year with our annual family picnic, where the kids shared some favorite songs, including “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” in American Sign Language. We said a sad farewell to our five-year-olds who are headed off to kindergarten… it’s hard to see them leave, but we know they are ready for a new adventure and we are grateful for the time we had with them!
Currently enrolled children were offered the opportunity to stay on board for our summer program. It has been well attended and lots of fun has been had. Thank you to the summer kids for taking care of our garden, it is looking great!
Many of us got together to build a float for the Andover Fourth of July parade. It is one of the highlights of the year for us; seeing all of you who come out for the parade, throwing candy, and being together! It was just a bonus that our float won the Grand Prize!
Even though the new school year seems far away, the teachers have already been meeting and preparing for our best year ever… literacy, math, science, music, and PLAY! We can’t wait! We are looking forward to seeing our returning preschoolers and welcoming some brand new members of our class at the end of August.
