The Franklin Area Lions Club is roaring with excitement about the 3rd Annual Renaissance Faire being held on September 8th and 9th at Odell Park in Franklin, NH. This year we are having extended hours on Saturday night with fire twirlers, belly dancers and a Jousting Game that is sure to arouse the inner spirit of the Renaissance period.
Our profits go towards helping visually and hearing impaired in need, along with support to the food pantry, Franklin Recreation Department, Franklin High School Band, the TRIP Center and the meals on wheels program, Santa’s Workshop. We participate in the “Choose Franklin” and Community Day events. We have “Reading with a Lion at the afterschool program and provide vision screening in the schools with the Spot PediaVision VS1100 vision screener.  We support the Mayhew Program for “at risk boys”.
We meet the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at the Soda Shoppe, and visitors and service minded people are always welcomed to our meetings.
Our club’s footprint includes Franklin, Hill, Tilton, Northfield and Sanbornton.
