Workshops on photography and an exhibit and sale of photo art will take place on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Hub on Main Street in Andover.
Area residents wanting to learn more about their cameras (including cell phone cameras) and improve their photography skills will find the event especially helpful. Sessions on creating photo books, getting your photos published, photo software, camera settings, matting and framing and other topics will be offered.
The keynote speaker will be Dan Robusto of Meredith, who will show and discuss two slide presentations: “A Photographic Journey to Antarctica,” and “Birds of a Feather.” Each of these bodies of work includes stunning images taken on his recent travels with his wife Sheila, both lovers of the natural world around them. His presentation will start at 12:15 PM. Workshops will start at 9 AM and continue until 3 PM.
In addition to the workshops, several area photographers will exhibit their photo art and offer it up for sale. Photographic art by local photographers makes excellent holiday gifts.
The public will also be able to purchase raffle tickets in hopes of winning several framed photographs donated by the exhibitors.
The event is the third annual Photo Expo sponsored by the Andover Institute. The public is invited to attend and participate. The suggested donation for attendance is $7.
