WILMOT – It going to be great day in Wilmot on Sunday, Sept. 30. The Wilmot Community Association (WCA) will be sponsoring Wilmotpalooza, an all-day, fun-filled event. Bring Nana and Gramps and all the kids too – there will be something for everyone!
You’ll flip for our flapjacks at our delicious Pancake Breakfast from 8-10AM Bring your appetite to the WCA’s Red Barn at 64 Village Road in Wilmot. You can enjoy pancakes, sausage or bacon and home-baked goods served with juice and coffee. Cost is $8; $5 for kids (5-12) and free for anyone younger than 5 or older than 100.
The action starts at 10:30AM with a rescue demonstration on the Wilmot Ball Field on Pine Hill Road, just off NH Route 11. The Wilmot Volunteer Fire Department (WVFD) and the Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team* (DHART) will demonstrate a car extraction and helicopter air lift. Everyone will have a chance to meet and greet Wilmot firefighters and the DHART pilot and medics.
Also starting at 10:30 AM, local nonprofits and businesses will be on the Wilmot Town Green to answer your questions. There will be Touch-a-Truck for the kids and a chance to vote on the correct way to say WILMOT. Hint – it’s not Wilmont.
Games for kids will start at 11AM on the Town Green. Get ready to toss a bean bag, run a three-legged race and have lots of fun.
At noon, local band The Moores will be rockin’ and rollin’ on the bandstand.
Don’t miss Puppypalooza at 12:30 PM at the Ball Field. There will be a K9 Search and Rescue* demonstration, Disc Golf for dogs, Bite Safety for Kids and more!
Throughout the day, feel free to wander back and forth between the Ball Field and Town Green. All events are free and open to all. Lunch and snacks will be available for sale on the Town Green.
* In the event of an emergency, DHART and K9 Search and Rescue may need to cancel their demonstrations.
