Frank Haley’s Annual Walk for Sight

By Lauretta Phillips

On June 1, Frank  Haley, his wife Ann of Andover and family members joined hundreds of others to participate in the 16th annual walk for sight.  2019 becomes the 16th year that Frank Haley has been named the top individual fund-raiser for New Hampshire’s Future In Sight (formerly New Hampshire Association of the Blind.)

As top individual fund-raiser, Frank and his wife collected $12,407.10, breaking his previous record.  This brings his total to over 100,000 over the past 16 years. Frank says it is because of the generosity of the people he goes to see that he is able to do this, and he wishes to thank them all.  Each one helps make a difference, from the ones who can give a dollar or two to the ones who can donate a hundred or more. The donations all add up to provide services for the community.

Whether you have lived with a visual impairment for most of your life or are just receiving a diagnosis of uncorrectable vision loss, Future In Sight’s low-vision programs and services can make a significant difference in your day-to-day life.  Future in Sight offers education programs, occupational therapy services, adaptive technology training, and recreational activities for both children and seniors.

Frank and Ann were joined for the 16th annual walk-a-thon by daughters-in-law Norma Haley and Vickie Haley and granddaughters Mariah Haley, Danbury, Shannon Haley, Andover, Kate Haley, Andover, and Joel McNeff of Pennacook.

Frank would like to thank his family, The Andover Beacon, and supporters from the Andover community and the surrounding towns and communities who so generously contributed money and time to help support the New Hampshire Future In Sight in this endeavor.
