While Donna Baker-Hartwell is away, Earle Davis and Bonita Betters-Reed are on close loon watch. They are happy to report that two chicks hatched (July 3), probably in the wee hours of the morning, as the parents were heard sounding the announcement. Bonita’s daughter Ally took these great photos showing one baby. Later in the evening it became evident there were two babies in the nest. Boaters are reminded to keep a safe and respectful distance.
