I’m John Kinney and have volunteered to fill one of the vacant positions on the Board of Selectmen. I’ve been a volunteer EMT in Andover for about 14 years. Since 2010, I have served as the EMS Director, and I’m also currently on the Board of Directors for the Andover Beacon. I hold an active real estate license, representing both buyers and sellers throughout the greater Sunapee area. My “day job” is as Operations Manager for Coldwell Banker Lifestyles in New London – helping manage eleven offices and more than 140 agents from the White Mountains to Concord, and New London/Hanover to Quechee and Ludlow, VT.
I’ve given many years of volunteer service to my new home town, and have had the opportunity to speak with many residents over the years. I’ve quickly learned that a vast majority of people here are as passionate about Andover as I am. Regardless of anyone’s background or current position in life, everyone has a voice. We all have views and ideas as to what we hope the future will hold for Andover, and more directly how the town can reach its goals.
Our common focus far outweighs our differences. As a selectman, I hope to contribute whatever I can to ensure our town is one where all voices are heard and that we progress in a positive direction, sharing ideas through civil discourse as we implement strategic plans of management and fiscal responsibility.
