As a candidate for New Hampshire House District 25 (Andover, Danbury, Salisbury, Warner, and Webster), I have been listening during the past two months to the concerns of many area residents. Our citizens are facing challenges that are directly related to the pandemic and many have immediate needs that include food insecurity, loss of jobs and access to healthcare as well as mental health. Most people are worried that our system of funding public schools is unsustainable because it relies mainly on local property taxes and therefore hurts those on fixed incomes.
We must work to address these problems, supporting our communities and prioritizing our needs. I will devote myself to improving New Hampshire’s way of life for all citizens and work within the legislature to create a fair and equitable tax structure, a strong economy that provides jobs with fair wages, access to affordable healthcare including reproductive rights for women, community mental health, access to telecommunications for all areas of the state, a public education system that readies all our young people for life in a global world, and a clean environment that maintains our natural world with clean air and water for present and future generations.
I believe we must work together to find solutions to these issues. That is the New Hampshire way, to solve local problems together. Your vote for me will help move New Hampshire towards a better future and make our state a place that works for everyone.
With appreciation for your vote on September 8 and November 3,
Faith Minton
