I met Faith Minton when I was coaching youth softball, and she was acting as a mentor to a girl on my team who needed a positive role model.

Faith owned and operated a small business and already wore many volunteer hats in town. But she signed up to be a youth mentor because she saw children in need.

What I did not know then was simply how Faith operated: See a need, act on behalf of the community. That was what she did in her years as a public-school teacher, on the parks and recreation board, and on the board of Main Street Warner, Inc. 

It was what she did every October, working volunteer shift after volunteer shift at our annual Fall Foliage Festival. It was what she did when she stepped up and served with integrity and commitment on our regional school board.

It was no surprise when the Warner Men’s Club honored Faith in 2017 with its annual community service award.

Faith works with everyone — with respect, kindness, intelligence, and humility.

Now, Faith is stepping up again: She is running to represent Warner, Webster, Salisbury, Andover, and Danbury in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. She will do so with the same commitment to community, civility, and decency that she has shown in all of her life’s work.
