Board Chairman’ Report: Aimee thanked everyone for their continued work and efforts. She reminded the Board of the SAU Board Meeting scheduled for December 2. She wished the Andover community Happy Holidays.
Public Comment: Molly Morgan (remote) had questions and comments regarding the ongoing work of the Reopening Exploratory Committee.
Principal’s Report: Dennis provided general school, student services, facility improvement, and personnel updates. Welcome back, Mrs. Parenteau!
Old Business
Lunch Prices/PLE Tool: Hilary provided an update. Free lunch has been extended through the end of the school year. It has been recommended to move forward with a 25-cent increase to begin in August 2021 for the purpose of aligning with PLE Tool recommendations, avoiding fines, and slightly increasing food service revenues.
Aimee motioned to increase breakfast and lunch prices by 25 cents for the 2021-2022 school year. Adam made the second. All were in favor and the motion was approved.
New Business
Update from Reopening Workgroup: Adam detailed the goals of the committee to include the development of an evaluation model that aligns with the NH DHHS guidelines and public health recommendations, enabling the group to present findings and provide recommendations to the Andover School Board at the January 5 meeting.
Superintendent’s Report: Mark expressed that he is pleased that the District has been able to hold on to the hybrid model which provides alternating in person and remote learning. Kudos to the staff, students, and community for continuing to practice safety protocols and measures. He hopes that everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and hopes for a brighter and less restrictive 2021.
Assistant Superintendent’s Report: Randy informed the ASB that an application has been submitted for a Supplemental Public School Grant to support the reimbursement of air purifiers, technology enhancements, and extra cleaning of the building necessitated due to the pandemic.
