Michael J. Havens – May 8, 2021

Michael was a master craftsman and was a gifted finish carpenter in his earlier years. Michael was a kind, gentle, and loving man, and had a fantastic sense of humor. He was always the life of the party and seemed to know everyone in town. His family called him the unofficial mayor of Marblehead. Michael loved his hometown and was so proud to be a Header. He has hundreds of friends that will miss him dearly. You always knew where you stood with him; a great listener and if you were ever a good friend, you were a friend for life.

His gentle and loving spirit will be missed by all. Michael also loved animals – especially his two dogs Mia and Harley who are now happy and frolicking at the family cabin in New Hampshire. Michael will be laid to rest in a private service July 5, 2021 in Waterside Cemetery. A celebration of his life will immediately follow the service at a place to be determined. Expressions of sympathy can be made in Michael’s name by a donation to the Marblehead Animal Shelter or to the Gerry V Fireman’s Association.
