The Andover Lions Club offers two scholarships every year:
John Thompson Memorial Scholarship: $1,000
Stephen Jewett Memorial Scholarship: $1,000
Because no scholarships were given last year, for this year only we will offer two additional scholarships to college freshmen, with the same guidelines in place.
Criteria
First priority will be given to graduating high school seniors with financial need and strong academics who are a resident of Andover or Danbury.

Second priority will be given to students enrolled in, or applying for, continuing education undergraduate programs with financial need and strong academics, who are a resident of Andover or Danbury.

Scholarships will be paid after successful completion of the first semester. The President or a designee of the Andover Lions Club will present the scholarship.

The Andover Lions Club Scholarship Application Form must be used. Forms are supplied to guidance departments of Merrimack Valley High School, Newfound Regional High School, and Proctor Academy.  Forms may be duplicated as needed.

Completed Scholarship Application
Secondary Record Transcript – completed by the school counselor.  This must accompany the application.  It is the responsibility of the student to see that this is completed.
Two Letters of Recommendation – must accompany the application.
Deadline for submission is Friday, April 22, no exceptions. Application must be submitted to the address above.

Please notify the Scholarship Committee at the address above or at one of the contact phone numbers above of any change in status after the submission of your scholarship application.
