New Hampshire singer-songwriter Lindsey Schust will release her new single “Parallel Lines” on April 22. Listeners can stream the song on all music platforms (including Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube). This song is the first of two singles preceding the release of her full album “Country Way” in June.
“Parallel Lines” was completed during the height of the lockdown. Most of the recording was done remotely and sent to Andover’s own music producer Jimmy Sferes of Hummingbird Studios, who co-produced the song with Lindsey. Gerry Putnam of CedarHouse Sound and Mastering added the final touches. The cover artwork was drawn by visual artist Grace Schust.
The song reflects the isolation many felt during the pandemic and offers a breath of hope for the future. It falls into the category of Americana music, with a blend of folk, country, R&B, rock and pop.
Lindsey sings lead vocals and plays keyboard and bass. She is joined by master fiddler Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki, Jimmy Sferes on electric guitar, and Luke Dobrowski (of the Dobros) on drum set. The quartet paints a hauntingly beautiful backdrop to this ballad about the joys of love and the pain of isolation.

“The essence of joy flows through the sounds and beats of Lindsey’s music – it transports her listeners to a rich and colorful world.” Calico Rechy, visual artist.
Lindsey Schust is a New Hampshire composer, singer-songwriter, pianist, and percussionist. She grew up in Andover in a musical family with the beat of African drums in the background.
