The Andover Community Church had a busy month in June. We had many exciting events and activities going on. 

On Sunday, June 19, we began having one service at 9:30 AM for the summer months. Zoom will still be available and can be accessed through AndoverCommunityNH.org.

Also on the 19th we started a discussion/study class on the Lord’s Prayer, which continues for six weeks. This course is being led by Jef DeMarie and Father Bill. Visitors and vacationers are welcomed alike.

Also on the 19th we ended our Mission of the Month by collecting baby bottles for Aspire Women’s Center, a women’s center in Laconia.

Coffee and Kayaks is a low-key event where people from the church spend a Saturday morning on one of the local lakes. Two dates are scheduled for this summer: July 9 and August 20. All are welcomed.

The rummage/bake/pre-made meal sales have been going very well. The meals are a big hit. If you would like to know ahead of time what is on the menu, you can contact Donna Thompson at 603 744-6858 (home) or 603 393-5470 (cell) or CraftyDonna@nullmetrocast.net. 

The sales are always on the last Saturday of the month. The great thing is that all the money we raise goes to fixing up the Highland Lake Grange Hall. So please stop in to see what we have or just say, “Hello!”

We were very happy that the Andover Coffeehouse started back up. This happened on Friday, June 17, at the outdoor amphitheater near AE/MS. There is a group of us who cater that event. There is Lawrence, Pam, Michelle, and myself. We serve grinders, wraps, strawberry brie spinach croissant-wiches, salads, baked goods, and drinks.

All the money we raise during the coffeehouse also goes to updating and renovating the Highland Lake Grange Hall. We will be back at the amphitheater on Friday, August 19. Then (with fingers crossed) we will be back in the Highland Lake Grange Hall in September. If you haven’t been to the coffeehouse, you need to come and enjoy the food and music.

Finally, we will be at the Village Green on the Fourth of July with a cotton candy booth. We’ve added a new flavor this year. We will have cherry, blue raspberry, and maple! Also we’ll have a table representing the Community Outreach wing of the church. So please stop by and see us.
