WCA Offers Wander Wilmot at Bunker Hill Cemetery Event

Cemeteries represent a treasure trove of town stories

Press release

Join the Wilmot Community Association (WCA) and the Wilmot Cemetery Trustees at 10 AM on Saturday, September 17, for Wander Wilmot at Bunker Hill Cemetery on Bunker Hill Road.

Cemeteries are museums featuring history, art, and the famous (and infamous) past residents of a town. They are a treasure trove of town stories and lore.

But they also raise questions about the lives of the people laid to rest there. The Wilmot Cemetery Trustees will lead a tour of Bunker Hill Cemetery and share its stories, history, and a few mysteries from one of Wilmot’s most interesting sites.

This program is free and open to the public, but reservations are requested. To register, please visit WilmotWCA.org or call 603 526-7934.

Wander Wilmot is a monthly WCA outdoor program series that ventures into Wilmot’s natural and historic areas with an expert guide who engages our curiosity and interprets our encounters.

The WCA owns and operates the Red Barn, a community center, and Timmy Patten Park, a beach and playground. The not-for-profit organization sponsors and cosponsors free and low-cost social, recreational and educational activities for people of all ages. Visit WilmotWCA.org for more information.
