For the past two years, I have been the lone Democrat on the Executive Council fighting to protect public health, ensure reproductive freedom, and reduce everyday costs for working families. During that time, I have proven that one voice at the Council table can make a real difference for Granite Staters.
I came to this role having worked in health care and as a health care attorney for more than 40 years in total. This combination of health care and legal experience has enabled me to be a powerful and effective advocate for expanded access to quality, affordable health services across our state.
During my term, I have successfully prevailed in securing $27 million in COVID-19 vaccine funding after the Council’s initial rejection, succeeded in funding opioid treatment, and educated the public about the dangers of the Council’s decision to defund Planned Parenthood and other family planning clinics.
As a woman and a mother, I bring a unique and important perspective to the Council table at a time when reproductive freedom is under assault at both the national and state level. I am proud to be the only candidate in this race endorsed by Planned Parenthood and to have earned the endorsements of Senator Shaheen, Senator Hassan, Congresswoman Kuster, and Congressman Pappas.
I am running for re-election to continue serving the people of District 2, a district which now includes Andover and other surrounding communities. I humbly ask for your vote in the Democratic primary on September 13.
