William D. Umlah died unexpectedly in Boston on September 24, 2022. Billy, as he was known, was the sixth child of the late James and Naomi Umlah. He was born on March 24, 1963, in Medford, Massachusetts.

He is survived by his four children and seven grandchildren: Justin and his family of Henniker, Naomi and her family of Andover, and Christian and Jonathan of Boston, Massachusetts.

He was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn (Hernandez) Umlah, both of his parents, and his oldest brother, Walter.

Along with his children, Billy leaves his five brothers, Kenneth of Virginia, Stephen of Revere, Massachusetts, Ernest of Everett, Massachusetts, Christopher of Medford, Massachusetts, and Scott of Oregon.

He also leaves his six sisters Carrie Kraft of Salem New Hampshire, Rachel Bradley of Everett, Massachusetts, Jamie Moynihan of East Kingston, Hampshire, Naomi Vautour of Everett, Massachusetts, Nancy Umlah of Derry, New Hampshire, and Holly Umlah of Medford, Massachusetts.

A gathering to share memories of Billy will be held on Saturday, October 15, at the Masonic Lodge at 58 E. Broadway in Derry, New Hampshire, from 1 to 5 PM.
