Michaela and Lee are happily adapting to our new circulation software as we slowly but surely grow more comfortable with it and discover some of the hiccups that are inevitable with a huge amount of data transfer.  We continue to ask for your patience with us and with the new system.

What will be most helpful to you is the patron portal to the new system. You can access the system at: bachelder.biblionix.com/catalog or at andover.biblionix.com/catalog.

For now, both databases are accessible to all patrons, but soon we will need to define patrons as Andover Public Library patrons or as Bachelder Library patrons, not both.

You don’t need to log in to browse the catalog, but you do need to log in to reserve a book, place a hold on a book, or see what you currently have checked out.

You log in with your library card number. (Please give us a call or send us an e-mail if you can’t find your card or can’t remember your number.)

For now, your password is your phone number.  As long as your phone number is a New Hampshire phone number, you may enter the last seven digits or all ten.  You may also insert dashes or leave them out.  If your phone number is an out-of-state cell phone number, you must include your area code.  

Many of us have dropped our land-line or gotten a new phone number in the past few years.  The system will only recognize the number that you used when you first registered for a card.  Again, please contact us if you need help, or if we need to update your record to include a new phone or cell number. Once you are logged in, you may change your password.

After logging in, click on the “My Account” button. From there you can request books, or place a hold on a book that is already checked out.  You can see which books you have checked out and when they are due.  You can also renew a title if you need more time to finish reading it.

It will be easy to plan your future reading from home.  However, we do enjoy it and much prefer it when you come to the library.  It will also be very helpful to us if we can double check your information and update your file.  This will only take a few minutes and will help to make the new system work better for you.

The start of a new year is often marked with a “best of” the previous year, and the library world and the book world are no exception.  Both libraries have displays of the “Best Books of 2022.” We compiled the lists from various newspaper, magazine, and bookseller lists.  We then added to the list the books that were the most frequently checked out books from our libraries.
