Featured at the monthly Andover Community Coffeehouse on Friday, March 17, will be the Massachusetts-based folk duo Crowes Pasture, made up of Monique Byrne and Andy Rogovin. The concert will begin at 7 PM in the Highland Lake Grange Hall on Route 11 in East Andover. The event is open to the public at no charge, but donations are welcome when the hat is passed to be shared with the featured act.

According to Folk Wales Online Magazine, New England banjo-and-guitar duo Crowes Pasture takes their name from a Cape Cod beach in Massachusetts.  Their album, Edge of America, is “peppered with fabulous harmonies and beautiful instrumentation, and their sensitive songwriting weaves around the material of Dylan, Donovan, and Cohen; it’s pure American.”

The evening will also feature appearances by up to five “open mic” acts, two songs or ten minutes each. Doors to the Grange Hall open at 6 PM for food and beverage purchases, and for open mic sign-ups on a first-come, first-served basis.
