All three workshops offered in March

Press release

“Out of the Blue,” a workshop for kids and adults to build bluebird houses ready for spring nesting, will be presented on Saturday, March 11, from 10 AM – noon. The workshop will be taught by Harvey Best and Wyman Ordway, long-time Andover residents and woodworkers who are interested in bringing the bluebirds back to this area. No special skills are required and materials will be provided.  A donation of $10 to The Hub is requested. The workshop is limited to 20 participants.

A six-week class on “Mindfulness and Meditation” will be offered on Tuesdays, March 7 –  April 11, from 10 – 11 AM, led by Libby Curtis Webb of Bradford.  For those interested in learning more about these ancient practices and why they can be helpful in acquiring peace of mind and inner calm, the series will offer instruction, practice and reflection, incorporating gentle breathing, relaxation, journaling and guided meditation. The series fee is $130, space is limited, and pre-registration is required by contacting The Hub. For those interested in knowing more about the instructor, her website is forestflow.com

Traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs are prized for their intricate dyed designs made with wax.  A three-session class to teach participants the process used in making them will be held at The Hub beginning Thursday, March 2, 6:30 – 8 PM, taught by Andover resident Gisela Darling.  There is no charge but donations to the Hub are requested. To register, please call Gisela at 603 735-5681. Space is limited.
