Access to reliable transportation continues as a challenge to many in our area. Without a vehicle, folks can’t get to work, or to important appointments and services. Kearsarge Neighborhood Partners and KREM collaborate in Kars for Kearsarge: Paving the road to independence, a joint effort to assist neighbors in evaluating and affording repairs on an existing vehicle, or to match them with a donated vehicle. Just this week, KNP advocates helped a man get his impaired car back on the road so that he can continue to live independently.

And spring is a perfect time to get that extra car out of the garage! Do you know someone who has a safe, reliable vehicle that they would like to gift to a Kearsarge region neighbor in need of transportation? Maybe the owner is no longer driving, or they have a young adult child who has moved to the city?
