As the July Beacon went to press, tickets for The Andover Community Hub-sponsored Rock ‘n’ Tacos event were going fast. But there are still some left, so potential Hub-supporting attendees are advised to reserve theirs quickly.
The fundraising event will be held at the Andover Barn at Highland Lake Inn, East Andover, on Sunday, July 30, from 4 to 6 PM. It will feature a taco dinner catered by local chef Ty Morris and music by Nick’s Other Band, a New Hampshire-based sextet well-known to the community. Tickets are $40 each, available in advance or at the door. Kids aged eight and under are free. Soft drinks provided; BYOB allowed.
To reserve seats, you may purchase tickets in advance by contacting TheAndoverHub@nullgmail.com, or by calling Hub Board members Gisela Darling (603 735-5681), Kathy Ordway (603 735-5618), or Susan Chase (603 735-5135).
The event is a fundraiser to complete The Andover Community Hub’s “Come On In” campaign, to raise funds for the installation of a community kitchen in Andover’s old town hall, now the home of The Hub.
According to its website, “Nick’s Other Band is a high-energy rock ‘n’ roll dance band covering your favorite tunes from the past forty years. Six talented musicians with diverse backgrounds have more fun than the law should allow, as they deliver classic and Southern rock, rhythm and blues, pop and soul for your unforgettable dance party.”
The Andover Barn/Highland Lake Inn, located at 32 Maple Street, East Andover, is a premier event venue and a historical property built in 1767.
