The Wilmot Garden Club hosted a booth at the wonderful Wilmot Farmers Market, August 12, handing out master gardener info and dispensing garden tips. They sold vintage garden tools, baby succulent plants, and conducted a silent auction for a beautiful hemlock bench John Monto made and donated. The bench was won by high bidder Linda Colgan of New London! Congratulations, Linda!

At the end of the Market, the club’s Walter Kangas Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Sydnie Brahan of North Sutton. Sydnie is working this summer at the Blue Loon Bakery in New London and Double Eleven (Equestrian) Farm in Wilmot, before entering the University of Maine, Orono, as a freshman majoring in Environmental Science. The Wilmot Garden Club is pleased to support Sydnie in her academic ambitions with this scholarship award.

Anyone wishing to join the Wilmot Garden Club is invited to contact our secretary, Lindy Heim, at Lindy@nullheimfamily.org.
