Sooze Hodgson and her daughter, Emily Hodgson Anderson, along with several other people, went to the Monte Velho estate in Portugal for dressage instruction on their elite Lusitano horses. These are an amazing breed of horses that have been bred for hundreds of years to have the gaits, strength, and mental fortitude to do dressage. These horses were war horses in the distant past, and some are still used in the bullfighting ring. Mont Velho is in south east Portugal. Caption: Sooze Hodgson
