Sunday Worship at the South Danbury Church is at 11 AM. Everyone is invited, and all are welcome.
Special thanks to Sandi Pierson, and to everyone who attended her program at the church in June that led us on a virtual hike, from Massachusetts to Canada along the crest of the Green Mountains of Vermont, with side trips to the Appalachian Trail and other trails. Sandi and her son and two of her sisters shared expert guidance about equipment, supplies, provisions, life on the trail, and stunning photographs of scenes and vistas many of us will never see for ourselves.
It was a truly immersive and extraordinary experience! Guests were enthralled and happily lingered afterward to continue the conversation. Sandi also gave a copy of her book, Green Mountain Girls, the story of Sandi’s last hike with her rescue dog Annie, to everyone who made a donation to the church.
Looking ahead, watch for the date and news about this year’s Old Home Day celebration, which will be at the South Danbury Church this year. The South Danbury Church will also be part of the Town Wide Yard Sale in August. We’re eagerly anticipating both events! Bonnie Nichols is also working with NH Humanities to bring more of the popular “Humanities to Go” programs to the South Danbury Church.
