Thomas Edward Voss, age 86, passed away after a short illness on November 19, 2023, in Sarasota, Florida. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 21, 1937, the son of the late Edward and Gladys Voss. He attended Milwaukee Lutheran High School and soon thereafter joined the United States Air Force, serving from 1955-1959.
He moved to Wilmot in 1972 where he participated in numerous board positions and was a member of the volunteer fire department. He was instrumental in the development of Eastman in Grantham, New Hampshire, and later founded Voss Building and Design Studio. He was an avid hunter and golfer, and eventually purchased a cottage on Bradley Lake in Andover, where he enjoyed boating and spending time with his family.
He retired in 2000 and wintered in Englewood, Florida, where he was a proud member of the Vets, Moose, and Elk Clubs. Tom loved life and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Gerald Voss, son Gregory Voss, daughter Donna Toelke, sister-in-law Marcia Voss, and first wife, Margaret Voss. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Rae; sons Richard Voss of Dover, Ken Voss of Rochester, Rob Bossi of New London, daughter Judith (Voss) Brown and husband Duane of Rochester, son-in-law Rich Toelke of Winchester, Massachusetts, daughter-in-law Laurie Voss of Rochester; grandchildren Bethany (Voss) Fletcher and husband Dan, Brittany Voss and husband Dan Arnault, Andrew Voss, Charles Bossi, Tom Brown, Teaghan Brown, Richie Toelke, Sam Toelke, and Margaret Toelke; great-grandchildren Chase and Colton Fletcher and Gregory Arnault; brother Richard Voss, sister Laura Voss, and sister-in-law Pamela Voss.
A private family service was held on August 9, 2024, at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
