ANDOVER — Area residents who rely on walkers, rollators, canes, or crutches to get around, either at home or out in the community, are welcome to stop in at The Andover Community Hub for some help in making sure their equipment is right for them and is adjusted correctly. An occupational therapy assistant from Lake Sunapee VNA will be available on Friday, October 18, 11 AM to 12 PM, to evaluate such equipment for its condition and durability and to make minor adjustments for a better fit.
Anyone who would like to stop in to the clinic but needs a ride to get there and back home can call Kearsarge Neighborhood Partners (KNP) to request a ride from a local volunteer. KNP can be reached at 603 317-5900, extension 1, to request help or a ride. It is suggested that one call at least a week ahead of time.
The Hub is located at 157 Main Street, next to Pizza Chef, and is an accessible building. For more information about this program or The Andover Hub, contact theandoverhub@nullgmail.com or leave a message at 603 735-5509.
