Steven K. Roz, 56, of East Andover died on Saturday, May 25, 2013 in the Hospice unit of Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen with his loving wife at his side.
He was born in Pittsfield on October 25, 1956, the son of Ronald and Winifred Roz.
After graduation from Mount Greylock Regional High School, he joined his father in the construction business. One of Steve’s dreams was to own his own business. This became a reality when he moved to New Hampshire in 1979. Diamond Utility Corporation was born, specializing in underground utilities and trucking services, which Steve ran and operated until his death.
Steve was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to work and then to relax with his family and friends at his home in East Andover. His favorite activities, beside his home, were boating, attending auctions, and the Fourth of July festivities ending with a steak cook-out in the backyard of his home.
Family members include his parents; his soul mate of life, wife Rosie; four adopted sons, Adam Roz and wife Christine, Mathew Roz and wife Alicia, Seth, and Abraham; and step-children Melissa Griffin and husband Steve and Danny and Douglas Woodhams; and nine grandchildren.
Services for Steve will be at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 724 Main Street, New London at 11 AM on Saturday, June 8. Join us for a celebration of his life with family and friends directly after the service. Lunch will be provided downstairs in the church hall by ladies from the Women’s Society.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Loaves and Fishes Charity at 724 Main Street, New London 03257.
