The Bachelder Library in East Andover will host an American Sign Language class taught by Michaela Trefethen, a Barton College Deaf Education student. American Sign Language is a language conveyed through the hands and the face and used by a large number of different people, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Participants will learn a wide variety of signs, including the manual alphabet, through a series of activities and games.
The class will occur on Tuesdays, starting July 16, from 6 to 6:45 PM and is open to all ages. To sign up, please e-mail Michaela at TrefethenMi@nullproctornet.com with the names and ages of those participating.
