If the following were an answer on Jeopardy, what would the question be?

“A great time was had by all, with six hours of non-stop, great New Hampshire-based music, and all for twenty bucks!”

Alex, for $20, “What is PinkFest 2013?”

That’s right!

So what is PinkFest 2013, really? It’s a team fundraiser for Hope’s Marvelous Mamo-Grams. October is right around the corner, and October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Hope’s Marvelous Mamo-Grams is our walk team for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk held in Concord on Sunday, October 20.

This year at team Hope, we are hosting a concert at Ragged Mountain Resort in Danbury on Sunday, September 15, from noon to 6 PM; the gates open at 11 AM. Tickets are $20, and you can visit RaggedMountainResort.com to get yours today. Click the big pink tab that says PinkFest Concert Tickets.

PinkFest is featuring the music of Time-Lords, The Grind, and recording artists Natalie Turgeon Band and the Jimmy Lehoux Band! We will also be having a 50/50 raffle, so come prepared, you could leave with some money in your pocket.

There will be concessions available inside the gates, so please, no outside food or beverages will be allowed. Please come and enjoy the day at PinkFest 2013.

Team Hope would like to thank everyone who has been donating their time, energy, and resources to make our team’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraiser the success we hope that it will be. Ragged Mountain Resort has donated the use of their facility. All of the musicians playing at PinkFest are donating their time and talent. The stages they will be playing on are being built for us by Wallace Building Products of Danbury.

Gary Crane of Capital Productions in Concord offered his services as our stage production management company for the day, gratis. Whedon’s Photography of Franklin and Steve Pouliot Images of Gilford will be photographing our event.

Events United is our sound company, and D&T Productions of Somerset, Massachusetts will be emceeing PinkFest. The folks at New England Mechanical in Londonderry have underwritten some of our operating expenses. To all of you, we say, “Thank you!”

We would still like to invite local businesses to become sponsors of PinkFest, as it is important to us to be able to tell our ticket holders that 100% of their admission price is going to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. If you can help us to make our event unforgettable, please contact our team captains: Kat Hitchmoth of Andover at 630-6270, or Harold Knott of Danbury at 340-4581.

“Silence Won’t Finish The Fight,” so let’s get ready to get loud at PinkFest 2013! Let’s make some noise for all those whose lives have been silenced by breast cancer. Let’s make some noise for those who are currently battling. Let’s make some noise for those celebrating their journey through and beyond breast cancer.
