We all recognize the dwindling resources in our communities: diminished farmland, dependence on questionable store-bought food, energy lost in poorly insulated and heated homes, and transfer stations that are untapped goldmines of useful, recyclable items.
On Saturday, November 9, the Blazing Star Grange Hall in Danbury will be open for its popular Chicken Pot Pie Dinner and the last of its free presentations, Recycling in the Home. Crafters and other volunteers will present ideas for fun projects for adults and children made from home cast-offs. Learn how to dispose of electronics and other products in an environmentally safe manner, plus tons of other innovative ideas for recycling.
The hall opens at 4:30 PM, with the dinner beginning at 5 PM. The presentation runs continuously until 6:30 PM. You do not have to attend the dinner to enjoy the presentations.
Come and be informed and have a great home-cooked dinner, too. The Blazing Star Grange Hall is on North Road in Danbury, at the junction of Routes 104 and 4. For more information, contact Phyllis at 744-2332.
