Hike Helps Landowners Enhance Wildlife Habitats

Landowners can learn about important wildlife habitats and what they can do to enhance them on their property during a walk from 8:30 to 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 2 at Tucker Mountain Tree Farm, owned by Heide and Eric Johnson.

The walk, sponsored by the Andover Conservation Commission, the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension and the New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association, will be led by Dave Pilla, forester and wildlife biologist for Proctor Academy, and Tim Fleury, UNH Cooperative Extension forester.

The free program is part of the Conservation Commission’s Taking Action for Wildlife series.

Directions: From Route 11 eastbound in East Andover, turn left just before the big white church and cross the wooden bridge onto Maple Street. Go one-quarter mile to Tucker Mountain Road on your right. The farm is one mile up Tucker Mountain Road on the right. A maple syrup sign is posted at the end of the driveway.
