On Friday, November 22, The Flying Monkey is excited to present comedian Tracy Morgan, best known as a member of Saturday Night Live, and his Emmy-nominated role on 30 Rock. Bluesy rock-and-roller Peter Wolf, best known as lead singer of the J. Geils Band, will perform with his own group at The Flying Monkey on Saturday, November 23. Tickets start at $35 and $45.

Although best known as the front man with J. Geils Blues Band, it’s Peter’s success with solo albums like Sleepless and hits Lights Out and Come As You Are that show his true songwriting ability and enduring star power. In 2010 his latest album, Midnight Souvenirs, earned the award for Album of the Year at the Boston Music Awards. Peter’s band, the Midnight Travelers, consists of a unique assortment of what he calls “true artists” and the finest blues and rock musicians working today. Always the consummate showman, he is known to tell wildly amusing stories in between performing new songs and old favorites from the J. Geils days.

Tracy Morgan, the comedic actor famous for his hilarious characters and outrageous antics on Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock will return to his stand-up roots on his Excuse My French tour. Fans of his colorful, take-no-prisoners style of comedy won’t be disappointed with his wildly unpredictable routine. He often reminds people that he is not Tracy Jordan, but Tracy Morgan, and he loves making people laugh by getting in their faces and sometimes even shocking them.

Expect an evening of everything from the gutter to the very, very silly … and the always-anticipated singing routine with hilarious impersonations of everybody from Michael Jackson to Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers.
