The seventh annual Holiday Shopping Tour begins with the Festival of Trees Preview Party on Friday, December 6, from 6 to 8 PM and the presentation of the Nutcracker performed by the Kearsarge Conservatory of the Performing Arts on Saturday, December 7, at 7 PM and Sunday, December 8, at 2 PM at the Hopkinton Middle High School auditorium.
Festivities for the Holiday Shopping Tour begin on Saturday, December 14, from 10 AM until 4 PM with a special event at the Warner Town Hall beginning at 6:30 PM. The day promises to be a merry one with music, food, artisans, storytelling, trains, and the annual Farmer’s Market. You will be sure to find those special gifts, food for the holidays, and enjoy spending a day with your family visiting all the sights that downtown Warner will offer.
Begin your day with a carriage ride along Main Street with Brian Erickson’s beautiful team of horses (weather permitting). Peruse the Farmer’s Market for your holiday meal or for stocking stuffers. Pop into the various shops offering a wide selection of artisans and craftspeople (MainStreet BookEnds, Kidz Galore and More, Beez Ink, Studio, the Velvet Moose, the Foothills Country Treasures and Store, the United Church of Warner, and the Upton Chandler House Museum).
Restaurants will be open throughout the day offering coffee, baked goods, pizza, and hearty soups and sandwiches. The Kearsarge Conservatory of the Performing Arts will be performing The Gingerbread Man and parading children to the Town Hall for photographs with Santa Claus. There will be a holiday story time at the Pillsbury Free Library. The beautifully lit display of the Festival of Trees will be open all day at the Town Hall.
New this year will be holiday caroling, a reading of The Night Before Christmas followed by refreshments of hot cider and chocolate with holiday cookies beginning at 6:30 PM at the Warner Town Hall. Bring the kids in their pajamas for music and stories before popping them into bed!
