The Friends of the Northern Rail Trail in Merrimack County (FNRT-MC) will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 PM on Wednesday, January 15, at the Boscawen Municipal Complex in honor of its recent rail trail extension to the Boscawen/Concord area.

FNRT-MC is delighted to be the new attraction in town, especially with the latest snowfalls bringing walkers, skiers, and snowmobilers out on the trail. Rail trail users starting out in Boscawen now have access to 56 miles of rail trail extending all the way to Lebanon. Trail use parking is available at Jamie Welsh Park and the old Gerrish Depot, both located just off Route 3 (Main Street) in Boscawen.

Follow Route 4 to the traffic circle and take the second ramp in the circle to Harris Hill Road for 0.2 miles, turn right onto Tremont Street for 0.2 miles, turn left onto Jackson Street for 0.4 miles, and arrive at the Boscawen Complex on the right.

From Routes 3 and 4 southbound through Boscawen: Turn right at the traffic light onto North Main Street (Route 3 South). Shortly after Alan’s Restaurant (on the right), the Boscawen Municipal Complex is on the left. Turn left onto Jackson Street and left into the parking lot.
