The Andover Fish and Game Club’s Al Chadwick Memorial Ice Fishing Derby was held on Saturday, February 8, at Kezar Lake in North Sutton. The derby started at first light, and at the 1 PM end of the day, three $75 prize winners for the longest fish of its species were declared:
-
Shane Szilagyi, for a 24″ pickerel
-
Arthur Ruff, for a 13″ perch
-
Harvey Stinson, for an 18″ bass
In addition, one lucky winner walked away with $73 from the 50/50 raffle.
All told, 43 people participated, coming from as far away as Concord to fish. It was good weather and a good turnout. The Club thanks George Barton, Steve Smith, and Murray Smith for running the derby.
