Sixteen girls and two Proctor faculty families moved into a new Proctor Academy dormitory on December 2. Whimsically named “Sally B” in honor of a retiring trustee and benefactor, the new residence is located at 56 North Street. This location provided convenient access to services including electricity, town water, and steam from the biomass plant that serves most of the campus.
The new occupants had to share space during working hours with finish carpenters and painters, as the job was not quite complete at the start of winter term! No matter: the students, dorm parents, and their families are very happy in their beautiful new living space.
