As the snow diminishes in April warmth (we hope), Blazing Star Grange Hall opens its doors in Danbury for a busy month of activities.
Come to the “Spring” Winter Farmers Market on Saturday, April 5, from 9 AM to 1 PM. Some vendors are bringing out their spring line of clothing and jewelry, Easter candies, and goodies. New maple syrup will be available in the downstairs market, along with the traditional Egg McGrange breakfast in the Bistro.
On Saturday, April 5 at 3 PM, volunteer spokesperson for AARP New Hampshire Bob Denz, a retired FBI agent, will speak on what one can do to greatly reduce chances of becoming the next victim in a multi-billion dollar crime business. Attending this presentation will give you confidence to hang up on con artists! Free and open to the public.
Rabies Clinic
It’s time to protect your pets at the annual Rabies Clinic, on Saturday, April 12, from 1 to 2 PM. The cost for each animal is a reasonable $12. Danbury residents may also register their dogs at this time.
That evening, come back for 2014’s first community supper, this month featuring delicious chicken pie. Doors open at 4:45 PM, and supper is served till 6:30 PM.
All events are held at the Blazing Star Grange Hall in Danbury.
