Everett Sanborn Jr, March 26, 2014

Mr. Everett J. “Sandy” Sanborn, Jr. of Andover, formerly of Gilford, Concord, and Newington, New Hampshire, died suddenly at Concord Hospital on March 26, 2014.

Sandy was a graduate of Laconia High School and served in the US Navy during World War II. He worked as a manager for Grappone Pontiac before moving to Ben’s Auto in Portsmouth where he was a general manager, leaving there to become the owner/president of Auto Damage Appraisers in Concord.

While living on the seacoast, he was active in the Kiwanis Club, Newington Volunteer Fire Department as a fire fighter, and as one of the first EMTs in Newington as well as the state of New Hampshire. He also served on the board of Fire Engineers in Newington.

After retiring and moving to Andover, he became active in the Sanborn Family Association serving as president and as a member of the Board of Directors.

He is survived by his brother, Richard Sanborn of Gilford; daughters Pamela Sanborn of Revere Beach, Massachusetts and Jayne Donnelly of Manchester; granddaughters Aimee (Naseman) Sanborn of Peabody, Massachusetts and Joelle (Donnelly) Wiggin of Bedford.

He was predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett J Sanborn Sr. of Gilford; his sister, Barbara Swain of Gilford; his wife Marion (Miner), and his son-in-law Michael Donnelly.

He will be sadly missed by his family. Always a wonderful dancer, his daughters and granddaughters will hold dearly the recent memory of him dancing at Joelle’s wedding in September.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 4, at 11:30 AM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery Association, PO Box 626, Concord 03302.
