A record number of vendors – more than 60 – will participate in the Wilmot Community Association’s (WCA) annual Holiday Craft Fair from 9 AM to 2 PM Saturday, December 1, at the New London Outing Club’s Indoor Center at 114 Cougar Court in New London.
“For anyone looking for the perfect handmade item to give as a Christmas gift, the WCA’s Holiday Craft Fair is a must,” said Kathy Neuberger, event organizer and member of the WCA’s Board of Directors. A wide range of gift items will be available, including aprons, furniture, beeswax candles, bat houses, bird feeders, knitted items, ornaments, cutting boards, stained glass, quilts, fresh evergreen wreaths, toys, jewelry, and pottery.
New this year, the WCA will sell Christmas cards and Christmas gift cards designed by Wilmot artist Kristen Ash Chertikhin. “We are delighted to be able to offer these cards that feature a lovely scene of the WCA’s Red Barn in winter,” said Patty McGoldrick, executive director of the WCA.
“The Outing Club’s facility allows us to offer larger spaces for vendors’ booths, wider aisles, the ability to accommodate up to 75 vendors, and more parking,” Neuberger added. “We are delighted that the Wilmot Ladies Aid Society will join us again this year for their fabulous Cookie Walk.”
“Unfortunately, Santa Claus won’t be able to join us this year,” Neuberger said. “But he’s asked us to have youngsters write their holiday wish list, and we’ll guarantee special delivery to the North Pole.”
For shoppers’ convenience, Friends of the Wilmot Public Library (FOWPL) will wrap gifts at a special station. Donations to the library in exchange for this service will be welcome.
Coffee, food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the event. More information about the event is available at WilmotCommunityAssoc.com or 526-7934.
The WCA’s office on Village Road in Wilmot Flat is open from 9 AM to noon on Monday and Wednesday; from 3 to 5:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays; and from 9 AM to noon on the last Saturday of each month.
