Adventures in Learning (AIL) will hold its 15th annual meeting on Thursday, May 15, in Wheeler Hall at the Ware Student Center on the campus of Colby-Sawyer College. The event will be an opportunity for AIL members and guests to celebrate another outstanding year of providing lifelong learning programs for adults in the Kearsarge-Lake Sunapee region.
The event begins with an art exhibit at 3 PM that showcases original artwork by AIL members and study leaders. The short business meeting begins at 4 PM and will include a recap of the year, acknowledgements, recognitions, and a vote to elect the 2014-2015 board members. The meeting will open with a photographic retrospective by Maureen Rosen titled An Evergreen Year.
A wine and hors d’oeuvres reception will follow the business meeting. The music group Folk Fusion will perform during the reception, with artwork on display until 5:30 PM. This talented local trio (Susan Cancio-Bello, voice and keyboard; Laurie Reeder, voice and guitar; and Nicole Densmore, flute and percussion) will perform contemporary and traditional folk music as well as Celtic music.
The event is free and open to the community, but reservations are required by Thursday, May 8, at 526-3690 or jstlaure@nullcolby-sawyer.edu.
