Pemi Choral Society Presents “The Glory of Creation”

Concerts in Gilford, Franklin, and Plymouth on May 8, 9, and 11

Press release

The Pemigewasset Choral Society invites you to join us for our 41st Spring Concert Series. Under the direction of Leslie McDonnell and assistant director William Gunn, with pianist Catharine Dornin, our program, titled The Glory of Creation, includes music from the serious to the fun. Whether you are reflective or singing along, this performance will take you on an amazing musical journey. The Heavens are Telling by Haydn; For the Beauty of the Earth by Rutter; Torrents in Summer by Elgar; The Animals A-Comin’ by Bartholomew; and A Red, Red Rose by Mulholland are just a taste of what is in store.

Mary Lloyd-Evans and Donovan Freeman of East Andover are singing in the concert.

Join us and celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with a relaxing and fun concert performed by the nearly 100 voices of the Pemi Choral Society. Mother’s Day is a perfect time to celebrate creation, including yours.

The concert will be performed at three area venues: on Thursday, May 8, at 7:30 PM at Gilford Community Church (admission by donation); on Friday, May 9, at 7:30 PM at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Franklin (admission by donation); and on Sunday, May 11, at 3 PM at the Hanaway Theatre at Plymouth State University, where the Chorale will be joined by Vocal Order, a PSU male student a-cappella group. Tickets for the Plymouth performance are $10 and are available in advance by calling 535-ARTS. Any remaining tickets will be available at the door.
