Andover Emergency Medical Services needs a new cardiac monitor/defibrillator. Our current LifePac-12 is more than 10 years old, has been discontinued by its manufacturer, and we’re no longer able to purchase support for this vital piece of EMS equipment.
A replacement LifePac-15 with options needed to meet state requirements for a transporting agency will cost more than $30,000. We cannot expect others to come to our aid and give us what we need – we must do this for ourselves.
Unless otherwise directed by a donor, all previous donations for a LUCAS unit will now be applied toward a new or refurbished LifePac-15 cardiac monitor. (See the related article on LRGHealthcare’s donation of a LUCAS unit to Andover EMS here.) Sadly, we still need $25,000.
Our continuing fundraising efforts include a Pampered Chef party this month. Orders can be made via e-mail to HMakechnie@nullaol.com or at the East Andover Fire Station from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on Friday, May 2. For a more direct option, tax-deductible donations may be made payable to Andover EMS with “LifePak” in the memo field and mailed to Andover EMS, PO Box 61, Andover 03216.
