Meredith Cline, a junior Business Administration and Marketing major at the University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, recently presented her marketing research project, Analyzing the Effects of Environmental Constraints on Business, at the 15th annual Undergraduate Research Conference (URC), which was held from April 11 through 26 at UNH.

The URC is an annual celebration of academic excellence, where students showcase the results of their scholarly, engaged, and creative research in more than 20 professional and artistic venues. More than 1,300 UNH undergraduates participated, making the UNH URC one of the largest conferences of its kind in the country.

Meredith was awarded First Prize in the Marketing category for her poster presentation. Her study focused on an environmental constraint placed upon a local business, Las Olas Taqueria. The study included problem identification, qualitative and quantitative research, data analysis, and recommendations. Assistant Professor of Marketing Lin Guo served as Meredith’s advisor.

According to Meredith, “It was an honor to be chosen to participate in the URC. I enjoyed sharing my research, collaborating with my faculty advisor, and having the opportunity to present my work publicly. It was a valuable learning experience.”
