ANDOVER ELEMENTARY MIDDLE SCHOOL
May 15, 2014
Dear AEMS Family,
Tonight is the Middle School Spring Concert featuring the bands and chorus. The concert begins at 6:30 and we have an extraordinary evening of talent! Our Power House B Band (B stands for Beginner and BIG) will play several selections. Our chorus will sing a collection of popular tunes. Our skilled Advanced Band will play three different pieces. Our eighth grade band members will close the show with a Rascal Flatt tune accompanied by Mr. Hubert on the banjo!
SHARE Day is tomorrow! Workshops begin at the start of the school day. Children should wear comfortable clothes and have water bottles. We come back together for lunch and entertainment. There will be a show at 1:00 titled Green TIGERRRRRRR. Poems and stories will be performed focusing on ways to stop bullying the environment. Volunteers are always welcome for SHARE Day! We are very fortunate to have a wonderful community event like SHARE Day.
Children ages 15 and younger are invited to take part in the 19th Annual Kids Spring Trout Fishing Derby Saturday on Highland Lake Channel in East Andover. Registration begins at 7 a.m. at the Andover Fish & Game Clubhouse, and children may fish until 10 a.m. Food and drink will be provided, and prizes, ribbons and trophies will be awarded. Participants need to bring their own poles and bait. Friday night the channel will be stocked with trout by an officer from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. All kids are welcome to come about 6 p.m. and help toss the wriggling fish into the water. For more information, call 735-5311.
Saturday night is BINGO at AEMS! This will be a fundraiser for the 8th grade trip. In addition to BINGO fun for all ages there will also be the opportunity to duct tape Mr. Tucker onto the wall. Can it be done? You’ll have to come and see!
Kindergarten Registration was held on Wednesday. We got a sneak peek at our 2014-15 kindergarten students and the future for AEMS looks great! If you know of any families who missed the registration please send them our way. It’s not too late! Children must be 5 years old by September 30, 2014 for kindergarten.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or stop in.
Thanks!
