The Wilmot Farmers Market opens on Saturday, June 28, at 9 AM with special art exhibits in tandem with the Wilmot Community Association’s weekend event, Imagination Into Art. Local artists and artisans will exhibit their work at the north end of the Wilmot Green for this weekend only.
The Market boasts 25 full- and part-time vendors, including the new addition of Huckins Farm dairy products. Meat, produce, and baked goods as well as artisans working in several media including glass, pottery, metal, and jewelry will lend diversification to the offerings at the market.
Full-time vendors are Andrea’s Quilted, Cardigan Mountain Soapworks, Cutting Farm, Emma Chase Design, Fred’s Farm, Fruitcake Farm, Good Enough Farm, Grafton Glass, Hazzard Acres Farm, Highland Lake Apple Farm, Huckins Farm, Huntoon Farm, Nana’s Kitchen, Santa’s Farm, Shaker Road Produce, Stevens Homemade, Two Mountain Farm, Veteran’s Ecoworld, and Yiayia’s Creations.
Naughty Nellie’s Cafe from Andover will provide hot breakfast and lunch each week for market-goers who enjoy meeting friends for breakfast or lunch on the Wilmot Green.
Several musicians will provide entertainment on the bandstand, including Richard King, Folk Fusion, Lindsey Schust and the Ragged Mountain Band, Mark Aldrich, Deanna Stiles, and Mark Cressy.
Non-profits, including the Wilmot Public Library and the Wilmot Historical Society, will be present on a part-time basis, and the popular education tent will feature something interesting each week.
