Press release
The Odell Park Centennial Project announces its upcoming Franklin Halloween Extravaganza. Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27, will bring a variety of fun family events in downtown Franklin in celebration of Halloween, culminating with a haunted trail walk at Odell Park at the first-ever Odell Park After Dark event.
Many Franklin area organizations are collaborating to present fun and safe family activities, including a performance on Friday, October 26, at the Franklin Opera House of Tales from the Crypt.
On Saturday, October 27, the Extravaganza continues from 2:30 to 4 PM at the TRIP Center’s free Family Halloween Party for children 12 and under (must be accompanied by an adult). The TRIP Center is located at 20 Canal Street in Franklin. Children are encouraged to wear costumes and stay for the parade down to Odell Park at 4 PM.
Following the parade, a free, “not so spooky” version of Odell Park After Dark will allow for children, families, and community members to take part in a haunted walk, games, and seasonal refreshments. Donations for continued park improvements will gladly be accepted.
Finally, join us between the hours of 6:30 and 9 PM for Odell Park After Dark, a haunted walk around Odell Park and seasonal concessions. Groups will depart every 15 minutes throughout the evening. There is a $2 per person entrance fee for this event.
Sponsors and partners for this event include Franklin Savings Bank, Community Bridges, the Franklin Mayor’s Drug Task Force, Franklin Elk’s Lodge, Big Cat Coffee, the Franklin Opera House, Northway Bank, Footlight Theatre, Franklin Parks and Recreation, and LRGHealthcare.
