Proctor Academy Graduates Eight Andover Seniors

College plans range from New Hampshire to Minnesota to Arizona

Eight local students graduated from Proctor Academy on Saturday, May 31:

  • Sam Barrett will attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York

  • Nathan French will attend Bard College in New York

  • Jake Hubbard will attend the University of New Hampshire

  • Emi Morison will attend Macalester College in Minnesota

  • Monica Newton will attend the University of New Hampshire

  • Tucker Peters will attend Green Mountain State College

  • Hallie Southworth will take a gap year

  • Maddie Trefethen will attend Arizona State University.

Awards

Five local students received honorary awards at Proctor’s Commencement on May 31.

Already inducted into the National Honor Society, Sam Barrett received the Music Award for Outstanding Instrumental Contribution to Music Ensembles; the Charles A. Jones Outstanding Athlete Award; and the Citizenship Award.

Also a member of the National Honor Society, Nathan French received the Stanley V. Wright Award for Excellence in History.

The Milligan Award for Excellence in Outdoor Science was presented to Jake Hubbard.

A member of both the National Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society, Emi Morison received the award for Excellence in Science, the Doc Howard Award for Sportsmanship, and the Robert Livingston Community Service Award.

Tucker Peters, formerly from Andover and now a resident of Danbury, received the Academy Theater Award for Excellence in Dramatic Performance.
