Franklin Savings Bank Offers Three Travel Opportunities

Maine, Quebec, or New York City

Press release

Ready for a little royal treatment and a lot of fun while enjoying some worry-free travel? Franklin Savings Bank’s “My Passport” Travel Club has announced three exciting package tours for 2014. These classic tours are available to anyone interested in experiencing new travel adventures without the hassle of travel planning. All three tours are led by experienced guides from Plymouth Travel Tours and include round-trip, luxury motor coach transportation, selected meals and lodging (for multi-day trips), plus tours, sightseeing, and taxes.

Down East Clambake

On July 27, participants will travel aboard a luxury motor coach to Booth Bay Harbor, where they will board the Bennie Alice for a scenic cruise along Maine’s picturesque coastline. Be on the lookout for seals, ospreys, lighthouses, and fishermen before arriving at Cabbage Island to enjoy a traditional Down East Maine Clambake. Lobsters, steamed clams, corn on the cob, Maine potatoes, and blueberry cake will be served on the beach, with plenty of time for strolling and taking in Maine’s maritime beauty. Registration deadline is June 25.

Summer Holiday in Quebec City

On August 24 through 26, join Franklin Savings Bank for a getaway to historic Quebec City. Stay at the iconic Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, a landmark luxury hotel located in Quebec’s Old City. Standing on a bluff overlooking the St. Lawrence River, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is at the heart of Old Quebec.

Just outside the hotel, guests will join a guided tour of the Plains of Abraham, Cape Diamond, The Joan of Arc Garden, Grande Allee, Place Royal, and more. The streets of Old Quebec are lined with cafes, restaurants, museums, and art galleries, plus no small amount of shopping. Registration deadline is June 25.

Christmas in New York City

There’s no place like New York City for the holidays, when landmarks like Radio City Music Hall Rockettes, Rockefeller Center, and Macy’s literally twinkle with holiday spirit. FSB’s tour of New York City includes three days in the Big Apple, from December 6 through December 8. Highlights include a festive holiday dinner, guided tours, shopping, and sightseeing to many landmarks including Grand Central Station and Holiday Fair, driving tour of Times Square, Bryant Park’s Once Upon a Christmas, the September 11 Memorial and FDNY Memorial Wall, plus tickets to the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, and a tour of Manhattan aboard the Circle Line cruise ship. Registration deadline is September 30.

Tours are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
