ANDVER ELEMENTARY MIDDLE SCHOOL
June 6, 2014
Dear AEMS Family,
TEN more school days! Wow! Please search for library books and text books and send them in. Also please settle lunch accounts. Thank you!
We had a special treat this morning. Our second grade students all performed in the musical “We’re Swamped.” The singing, acting, and a bit of dancing was wonderful. The costuming was creative. Thank you Ms. Hildebrand, Mr. Jensen, Mrs. Emeny and second grade thespians for an enjoyable performance!
I just returned from an enjoyable 8th grade trip. As chaperones we had many proud moments with our students. The respect, revrence, and quest for knowledge the students demonstrated at the September 11th Memorial and Museum was impressive. The USS Battleship Intrepid Land, Air, and Space Museum had lots for us explore. At the end of the USS Intrepid tour we had special gifts waiting for all the students and chaperones through an Andover connection. Thank you Tim and Beth Frost!
Spread the word… We are trying to round up past and present unicyclists from the One Wheelers to ride in Andover’s 4th of July parade. The parade is always a treat but it just hasn’t been the same the past couple summers without the presence of the Andover One Wheelers. So, Percy Hill will coach and lead any and all One Wheelers. We are hoping for a great turn out.
Lost and Found is overflowing. It has been tricky to dress for the spring weather and I think that is why we have vast amounts of discarded clothes. Please stop in and look through it before the last day of school.
Sincerely,
Jane Slayton
